Elizabeth Gold contributes clinical expertise in child protection, child maltreatment, trauma-informed care, and safeguarding vulnerable children. She will support the development of trauma-informed identification and referral pathways within the VOICE project and contribute expertise on children exposed to abuse, neglect, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and out-of-home care. She will also contribute to the integration of child protection perspectives within the project's implementation and evaluation activities.

Elizabeth Gold is a Consultant Pediatrician, Medical Director of the Child Protection Team at Akademiska Children's University Hospital, and doctoral student at Uppsala university. Her clinical and research work focuses on child maltreatment, childhood trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable children, particularly those placed in out-of-home care. She has extensive experience in the assessment of children exposed to abuse, neglect, violence, and other forms of adversity, as well as in coordinating multidisciplinary care involving healthcare, mental health services, and child protection agencies.
